I've neglected downtown Toronto long for the countryside with my photography and I plan to spend more time shooting in different neighbourhoods. For now though, I have a walk between Union Station and The St. George Campus to document from different angles. Once you get past the chaos at Union Station and Front Street. Toronto just keeps on going about it's business. What I am doing is setting up a photography outing for the Oakville Camera Club for later in June to take a more circuitous route up to UofT. The Commute to night school on University of Toronto's St. George Campus, it all starts when I roll into Union Station. Instead of taking the PATH I take a surface route along Bay St. up to King St. Camera Leica M4-2, Canon 50 f1.4 lens, Film: Ilford HP5 400, HC110 B. Observation: Why is the connection to Union Station (the train station) and Union Station (the TTC subway station) open to the elements? Pretty much any other major city with a subway and commuter train interchanges would have underground connection between both networks.

I don't to Hamilton too often as I usually default to Toronto for work, professional development and social life. Meanwhile to the west of me is a city ripe for exploring, I've been to Hamilton off an on over a quarter century, friends have lived and currently live there. As a city, it's looking for a path away from the steel industry towards education and healthcare as well as supporting a thriving arts scene.
