Chinatown down to the Garment District.

Image
I haven't walked down Spadina through Chinatown to the Garment District since the Before Times. Well, the Garment District is mostly creative firms not in the garment trade. Chinatown is also evolving to a more tidy district compared to the sidewalk chaos of almost 20 years ago.  Said this before, the city is changing fast and long time Torontonians just want to catch their breath for a minute or two.  I also changed the seals on my Nikomat EL including the mirror bumper foam, and no more gumminess.  Camera: Nikomat EL, Nikkor H 50 f2 lens.  Film: Ilford HP5 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.

Wandering Through Harbord Village South and Kensington Market

Ilford HP5 is that classic film you can abuse and still get decent images and I'm glad I chose it for my wander with Jo-Anne between her favourite hat shop and Lorne's Coats in the Garment District (what's left of it) and on this installment we wandered through Harbord Village along Brunswick and then down Agusta into Kensington Market, stopping for lunch at Via Marcanti for some really nice pizza. After lunch, we continued our southbound journey.  Camera: Nikomat EL, Nikkor Pre Ai lenses.  Film: Ilford HP5 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.
