The Nikkor N 28 F2 lens. and I Forgot to Post this

Image
I shot this set over a year after buying a Nikkor N 28 f2 lens. I already have the Nikkor H 28 F3.5 lens but had an opportunity to get this fast piece of glass for a decent price. I found that my copy of the 28 F3.5 lens has a tendancy to vignette a bit around the edges. That doesn't exist with the 28 F2 lens.  The big question of course is, should I get one? That depends if you have a lot of Pre Ai Nikon Fs, F2's and Nikkormats in your collection, if the answer is yes. I would roll up the nickels and dimes. Bonus points if you can find a factory Ai converted Nikkor N 28 F2 and you can use it all the way through up to the F4 but not the FA.  The other thing I forgot is I shot this on Ultrafine Extreme 400, everyone's favourite bargain basement film, pushed to 1600 really well but I hated it was a magent for water spots and space junk that you have to clone out like mad. Camera: Nikkormat FT2, Nikkor N 28 F2 lens.  Film: Ultrafine Extreme 400, HC110 B.  ...

Last Roll of Ultrafine Extreme 400.

Of course my last roll of Ultrafine Extreme 400 after being developed has water spots and other space junk I had to clone like mad in Lightroom to get rid of. Finding Ultrafine Extreme 400 is impossible now, it's out of stock everywhere, and there's not estimated time of restock. I wonder if it was a one off master roll and now that UFX 400 is gone it gets replaced with Ultrafine Finesse series film, maybe, perhaps, I don't know. I switched to Foma films because they are easier to come by and every bit as versatile.  Camera: Nikkormat FTn, Nikkor O 35 F2 lens.  Film: Ultrafine Extreme 400, HC110 B.

A Sunny Morning's walk to Old Oakville

I love it on the rare occasion when the sun comes out when I head out for my morning walks, it just makes life in the pandemic bearable.  Camera: Nikkormat FT3, Nikkor Ai 105 f2.5 lens, Áis 35 f2 lens.  Film: Ultrafine Extreme 400, HC110 B.

West Side of 16 Mile Creek

So far it's been a ho hum winter, not a lot of snow on the ground, really, none in the photos shared, and I've had a run a bad luck ruining two rolls of film while processing. The teachable moment is, don't process film while sleep deprived, dumb me put the stop in before the developer, rookie mistake made by someone who has been processing film since 2006. That's why there hasn't been much in the way of winter pictures.  Nikkormat FT3, Nikkor Ais 35 F2 lén, Ai 105 F2.5 lens.  Film: Ultrafine Extreme 400, HC110 B.
