Oakville on a Nikkormat EL.

You really can't go wrong with Fomapan 100 black and white film processed in Rodinal 1+50. Camera: Nkkormat EL, Pre Ai Nikkor 50 f2 lens, Micro Nikkor 55 F3.5 lens. Film: Fomapan 100, Rodinal 1+50.

From the 1980s The Nikon FM2

Everyone remembers the Nikkormat, Nikon's prosumer camera, it got replaced with the Nikon FM in 1977 a much lighter body, people loved it. I love my two FM's, an early chrome example and a later production black body. Fast forward a few years to 1982 and the FM was replaced with the FM2. Shutter speeds went from a top of 1/1000 to 1/4000 and a much faster flash snyc speed of 1/200 of a second with a slight bump in 1984 to 1/250. Both advanced amateurs and pro photographers loved the durable construction. Initially the FM2 came with the titanium honeycomb copal shutter which was replaced in 1984 with the aluminum copal shutter along with the flash sync speed upgrade. There's not much else to say about the camera other than it's centre weighted metering. The camera had a long production run for 19 years before being replaced with the FM3a. The Road Back Home

After the Toronto Film Shooters Summer Meet Up, I made my way for home, since it was just me in the car and I had nowhere where I really needed to be, I took the scenic route along Highway 7. The game plan was make my way over to Cannington On, visit the family grave plot, shoot around town a bit and then make my way over to Uxbridge for dinner and beer run at Second Wedge Brewing Company. I need the alone time to think as I'm dealing with a personal set back I'm not going into here and what better than some roadside photography to help process what went down. My family settled in what is now Brock Township and Cannington back in the early 1820s and I always try and stop in if I'm passing through. Also I hoped to connect with my friend and fellow photographer Spring Tripp Reilly of Life's Elements Photography if she was around when I stopped in Uxbridge, that Saturday I got lucky.
