The December Frugal Film Project From Rosedale Subway Station to Summerhill, the In Between Neighbourhood.

Image
Just like that, we're at the last installment of Frugal Film Project 2022. For December I'm in one of my favourite parts of the city, "the in Between neighbourhood". Between Rosedale, Rathnelley and Yorkville, and maybe the Annex depending who are you talking too. I don't photograph in this part of town anywhere is often compared to some other neighbourhoods. Yonge St. transitions from the high rises of Bloor St. and points south to more low rise developments until you hit Deer Park around St. Clair.  I'm looking forward to the Frugal Film Project for 2023, with a different camera from the Nikon stable, the Nikkormat FTn, and we're rolling with a different film stock, Kentmere 400, stay tuned!  Camera: Nikon N90S, Nikon AF-D 28-105 F3.5-4.5 Zoom Lens.  Film: Kodak Ultramax 400.  ]

No Light Pollution 2022 (The Annual Long Weekend Trip North)

I've been going up to Billie Bear Resort in the North end of Lake of Bays Township in Muskoka for nine years now and it's the first time Jo-Anne came up too. We got blessed with nothing but sunshine, perfect fall temperatures, the fall colours were on point and a chance to see the Milky Way.  The fun began getting to Jo-Anne's place, which took an hour and a half from Oakville, getting out of the city was oddly enough much easier. I felt trip truly starts when we hit Beaverton for a late breakfast a Shortiss Cafe , I can't recommend them enough the coffee was great and the baked goods were yummy.  We made great time up Highway 35 and had lunch in Minden at the Boshkung Brewery and wandered around a bit for a break, the Rockcliffe Tavern still stands for now. Again driving up 35 just gives you a ton of photographic opportunites you can't get on 400/11.  Camera: Nikon F5, Nikon AF-D 28-105 F3.5-4.5 Zoom Lens.  Film: Lomo 100 C-41 film.  ...
