Welcome to University of Toronto, my alma mater. I really should take more pictures around here more often because there is a lot of subject material. The other part is the fun documenting with one camera and focal length, in this case my Contax IIIa, a 50 year old 35mm rangefinder with a 50 f2 Sonnar lens. I used Agfa Silvertone 400 film with 1:25 Rodinal for processing. I heard an urban myth that Minox picked up Agfa's production line and will continue production of Silvertone/APX. I will believe it when I see it. Enjoy the photos.

I pulled an old friend off the shelf for a good workout, the Contax IIIa. Save for the movie theatre marquee which is up on Mount Pleasant in Toronto, all the shots here were in the Bloor/Yorkville and Annex, two neighbourhoods next door to each other. I used Agfa Silvertone 400 at box speed and processed in Rodinal 1:25. I want to finish a bottle and the half hour for the 1:50 is really long. I should try HC110 again. Stay tuned for my UofT series.

I went a little crazy with the Distillery District and I am not done yet. I used Ilford FP4 125 with my OM-4. Nice combination, I was impressed with this set. I processed with HC110 dilution B. I am headed back this weekend for more, it is a part of Toronto in transition, for now the District is in the middle of nowehere but not for long. A lot of development is going in area and industrial land is being reclaimed.

A little something from the Toronto Portlands. I pulled my Nikkormat and loaded up with some Agfa APX 100 and went out early one Sunday morning. Shooting early is not for those who like to sleep in or not morning people. The lighting however makes it worthwhile. I processed the film in Rodinal at 1:50.

The Don Valley Brickworks My first industrial decay shoot. I used my brother's Leica R4 and Classicpan 400 rated at box speed and processed with HC110 Dilution B.

My brother is off on vacation in France and left some of his high end gear with me for safekeeping. The only camera that did not have film in it was the Leica R4 and Alex said I was free to use it. The Leica R4 was a collaberation between Leica and Minolta based on the XD11, this is on a different plane to what I have been using and I am now worried I am going to want one myself. I used Kodak Tri-x exposed at box speed and processed in Kodak HC110 Dilution B for six minutes, 30 seconds. Ok,I want a R4....bad.
