Off to Mono Cliffs Part One

Image
Mono Cliffs is my happy place. The drive up is half the fun, if you're a British Sports Car nut there's a guy who sells MGB's at the corner Highway 9 and Mono 3 EHS, of course he also had a white series one Jaguar E-Tpe. If you want a project car, you know where to go, I rather have the red MGB, cheaper to restore and run. What's so great about Mono Cliffs? It's far enough from the GTA you don't hear civilization, two you have a cellular dead zone in the Provincial Park depending on your handset which can be a good or bad thing and it's a really good hike. Now depending the time of the week and how many people there in the park you might see some wildlife in my case, I grabbed a couple of shots of a porcupine. Camera: Olympus OM-2n, Zuiko 50 f1.8 lens and Zuiko 100 f2.8 lens. Film: Kodak Ultramax 400 and Rollei RPX 400, HC110 B.

My Friend Crystal

I do portraits. Yes you see a lot of landscape and street photography on my blog but I love shooting portraits when I get the opportunity. My friend Crystal here just one Volunteer of the Year Award for the Toronto chapter of the  International Association of Business Communicators. We met volunteering on the Social Media committee and been friends since. I shot Crystal's portrait in the evening after she received her award at the annual general meeting last week. By the time we got around to it, I had no choice but to shoot wide open. My one regret is Crystal has a beautiful smile and here, it looks like the day had caught up with her, I will be re-shooting at some point. Camera: Olympus OM-2n, Zuiko 100 f2.8 shot wide open. Film:  Ilford HP5 400, HC110 B. Shot on the patio of the Paint Box Bistro
