Setting Up for Beaches Jazz Festival

Image
A hot Summer's evening and live music along Queen Street East during the Beaches Jazz Festival. I set up a photo walk through the Toronto Camera Club Photo Walk committee for a meet up. I shot the first roll on my Leica IIIF which delivered a great set up images. In hindsight, should have ran with RPX 400 instead of 100,  I would have gotten more time shooting after dinner, then again, hindsight is 20/20.  Camera: Leica IIIF, Voigtlander 50 F2.5 Color Skopar Lens.  Film: Rollei RPX 100, Rollei Supergrain 1+15

Another Walk Around the Neighbourhood

Wandered down into Davisville Village along Yonge Steet a few weeks ago, been a while since I used my Leica IIIG which is the most usable of Barnack era screwmounts. Yes loading is still a pain in the ass, but the viewfinder had frames for both 50 and 90mm lenses and is much bigger than the IIIf.  This roll is one of those "one lens and body" exercise and believe me, sometimes you just want to simplify things. Worked for Henri Cartier Bresson.  I wasn't happy with the scans on this roll,  Hammrick Software pushed out a recent update for Vuescan, usually thing are great, that said, every once in a while, the update goes off into the weeds. These were the best case scenario. In the end, I'm keeping Vuescan for document scanning, which I do a fair amount of and software works great for that. I wound up downloading Silverfast 9 and at the start of a long journey to master it.  Camera: Leica IIIG, Voigtlander 50 F2.5 Color Skopar lens.  Film: ORWO UN 54, Ilfote...
