Nothing beats shooting Acros 100 through a Mamiya Twin Lens Reflex Camera, in this case the C220f on a bright sunny day.  Camera: Mamiya C220f, Sekor 80 F2.8 lens.  Film: Fuji Neopan Acros 100, ID-11 1+1.

Back to Burlington Ontario

What do you do when you're waiting for colour film to be processed at Burlington Camera? Go to downtown Burlington, grab a coffee (Tamp on Brant St. is sublime), wander around and take pictures. I think I also stumbled onto a gateway to a parallel universe and photographed me from over there, staring back.  Covid 19 isn't stopping real estate developement in downtown Burlington, a new condo tower is going with another one planned just down Brant St. The locals aren't happy and while I'm for densifcation I would rather have the surface lots developed have the parking below street grade in a parking garage and leave the street front buildings alone, but that would make way too much sense.  Camera: Mamiya C220f, Sekor 80 f2.8 lens.  Film: Fuji Neopan Acros 100, D76 1+1.

Wandering Around with the Mamiya C220f.

When I traded off my Hasselblad kit last year some friends wondered if I was going to miss having an interchangable lens medium format camera in my line up, the answer was no, because I have one, the Mamiya C220f. What a tank of a twin lens reflex camera, especially compared to Rolleiflexes and another TLRs out there, the Mamiya C220f is sturdy, and the lenses available for it are 55, 65, 80, 105, 135 (an interesting lens in its own right), 180, and 250mm. The only lens I don't have is the 250mm, I should look for one at some point. Yes I lose out with the lack of interchangable backs but I'm one for finishing the roll of film. I managed to stuff my C220f with the 80mm lens on, some film, a light meter and the 55mm lens and hood into my Lowepro sling bag I use for skiing for my morning walks. What I should do next time is rock a 65mm and 105mm lens combination. The Mamiya while hefty sits well on my back while walking around the neighbourhood. I used Freestyle Photograp...

Back to Forks of the Credit Part Two

Image
I haven't really hiked Forks of the Credit Provincial Park for a couple of years now due to increasing popularity but we were lucky it was pretty quite for a nice Sunday morning. Now rolling into Belfountain for lunch, that tiny hamlet becomes tourist town on the weekends. I could not believe how busy it now gets, mostly people visiting Belfountain Conservation Area (thank you Blog TO). Afterward we stopped by GoodLot Farmstead Brewing and relaxed in the beer garden. I have reviewed a few of their beers for the Craft Beer Diaries , I can't recommend them enough as not only is it a brewery, they also grow their own hops. It's worth the drive up. Camera: Mamiya C220F, Sekor 80 f2.8 lens. Film: Bergger Pancro 400, HC110 B.
