Mono Cliffs is one of those secret magical spots I to go hiking and a few weeks ago I led a photo walk with 15 members of the Oakville Camera Club . The big challenge when organizing field trips for the club is keeping things fresh and the park delivered in a big way and we were fortunate to get a sunny day after the fog burned off. For those wondering where Mono Cliffs Provincial Park is, budget about an hour and 20 minutes driving time northwest of Toronto by taking highway 410 then drive along highway 10 through Orangeville and then turn right along Mono Centre Road #8, go east and keep an eye out for the signs for the park. It's not a difficult hike but I would recommend wearing hiking boots. As I mentioned earlier, the best part of Mono Cliffs is closing your eyes and just listening, after a minute you realize you can't hear civilization. I have really bonded with my Mamiya C220f this Summer, it's a tank of a twin lens reflex camera but it's my go to for portraiture, landscape/nature and wandering around the street due to it's durability and versatility of interchangeable  lenses. Now I have a pretty complete lens kit for this camera save for the blue dot 80 f2.8 Sekor. A little bit of patience on Ebay and I managed to score one a few weeks back. What you see here was shot in Toronto's west end this past weekend during some very humid weather, so I spent my birthday testing out a lens and it has my seal of approval. Location Belfountain Conservation Area Hasselblads while considered a studio camera is really good for doing landscapes. I'm still blown away at how nice the images look with that magic combination of lens, film and developer.

From the Oakville Camera Club Waterfall on Ice photo outing. Twenty four camera club members turned out first thing Sunday morning to shoot Sherman Falls. We were lucky to get some cold temperatures the night before and we actually got some ice formation on the side of the wall. A good time was had by all.
