Scotsdale Farm in the Fall

Image
Been ages since I was last up at Scotsdale Farm. I needed a break from packing the house up. To shake things up, I went medium format with my Mamiya C220F on my hike, and shot one roll of colour, and another black and white. I would have shot both rolls of Lomo 400, but, I forgot the pack the second roll hence the Rollei RPX 400.  Hiking with a C220F is a pretty good workout and would do it again.  Camera: Mamiya C220F Twin lens Reflex Camera, Mamiya Sekor Lenses.  Film: L,omo 400 C-41. Rollei RPX 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.

Headwaters Project.

Image
One big massive picture dump, and part of a zine project called Headwaters referencing the Headwaters of the Credit River which covers Peel, Wellington and Halton Regions. With this project I'm using a couple of cameras most likely an Olympus OM body for 35mm colour work and my Mamiya C220f with the 120 black and white.  This region being part of the GTA Greenbelt which is under great threat from a six lane highway nobody wants and low density residential and commerical development. While some city and regional councils have strongly voted against Highway 413, other councils are politically on the fence due to firece political lobbying from developers and construction companies who stand to gain exopentially from this development.  The Headwaters Project focuses on the rural and small town landscapes and the long standing recreational facilities in the region focused highlighting what could be lost in the name of progress.  Camera: Mamiya C220f, Sekor lenses.  ...

Back to Forks of the Credit Part One

Image
I made it back up to Forks of the Credit a few weeks back with my friend and fellow photographer  Dana Kayes, it was her first hike inside the park and we made our way through the entrance through Brimstone. The camera of choice was my trusty Mamiya C220F TLR I wanted big negs with this trip and wound up shooting a couple of rolls of Bergger Pancro 400 which is fast become my favourite 400 ISO black and white film. I think though over time I should have rolled with one of my Rolleiflexes. Hindsight they say is 20/20. I'm waiting to see Dana's photos from this hike, you can find her portfolio here , she's only been shooting just under a year on her late mom's Nikon F. Dana shoots similar subject matter I do but I love how she approaches the subject  composing the photograph.  I look forward to further photo outings with her, I enjoy Dana's company. Camera: Mamiya C220F, Sekor 80 F2.8 lens, Sekor 55 F4.5 lens. Film: Bergger Pancro 400, HC110 B. ...
