Puttered around the neighbourhood Friday evening and Saturday we stolled down Bathurst St. to David Dunkley's for Jo-Anne to pick up her new hat. I haven't really wandered down Bathurst in a photo walk, especially south of Dupont. I think I have a photowalk perculating in my brain for the Toronto Film Shooters...... Camera: Nikkormat FT3, Nikkor Ai 50 f2 lens.  Film: Fomapan 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.

Somewhere, a Leica purist is having a seizure at the thought of a non Leica lens is on something as storied as a IIIf, in this case a Nikkor H 50 F2 lens in M39 screw mount. Nippon Kogaku long before making the Nikon F and even before making their version of the Zeiss Ikon Contax rangefinders, of course simplifying in some areas like the shutter, and improving apon others. Nippon Kogaku also made lenses not only the S-mount for their range finders but also in M39 Leica screw mount. A lot of third party lenses got made with that particular lens mount.  So the legend goes war photographers working in Korea discovered Nikkor glass while on leave in Tokyo and found them to be steller performers. i've shot with the S mount version of this lens and the F mount descendent and been super pleased with the results. My Nikkor H 50 F2 came with a Canon 7S and a Canon 100 F3.5 lens, running a Nikkor lens on a Canon body just felt, weird, on a Leica screw mount body or with an adapter on say my

April TFS Photowalk Part Two, Through the Annex

This was supposed to be a colour roll, but for whatever reason, the second roll of Superia 400 just would not advance in my Nikon SP, no idea why. That said Ilford HP5 400 when through like hot shit through a Canada Goose, so it could be user error, I think that is the probable cause, Either way my SP at some point this year will head off for a CLA.  Loved wandering through the Annex, usually it was the end point of a photo walk, I have to figure out a route the brings us in from a different direction, I have one germinating in my mind for later this year, maybe for the fall.   Camera: Nikon SP, Nikkor S Mount Lenses.  Film: Ilford HP5 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.
