The Last Beaches Roll Before the Holiday Season, I Swear.

Haven't shot much Fomapan 400 of late, forgot how much I like to shoot and later scan this film.  Camera: Nikon F3/T, Nikkor AIS lenses.  Film: Fomapan 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.

Back in the Beaches in September

A classic black and white film in a workhorse camera from Nikon, a solid match!  The Beaches takes on a different vibe after Labour Day even if the warm temperatures stick around. I prefer the Beaches "Off Season" as the neighbourhood still has the laidback vibe without the hordes of day tourists from other parts of Toronto.  Camera: Nikon FM2n, Nikkor AIS lenses.  Film: Fomapan 100, D76 1+1.

The Nikkor S Mount W 3.5cm F2.5 Lens, A lovely Bit of Glass.

I've fallen in love with a particular lens, Nikon made great 35mm focal length lenses. I own multiple versions of the 35 F2 from the Pre Ai O to the autofocus AF-D which it delivers consistantly great results. Pre dating the F mount, Nikon had some great 35mm lenses including the expensive 35 F1.8, I went with the W 3.5cm F2.5 which I bought from Victory Camera a week after I got my SP because I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a llens. Photography in Malaysia did a great write up on Nikkor S mount 3.5cm lenses on their site.    Cosmetically the Nikkor W 3.5cm F2.5 lens looks very much alike to the Jupiter-12 35 F2.8 for the Kiev Rangefinders and the Zeiss Biogon 3.5cm F2.8 lens, the mounts are slightly different, monting on the wrong camera could lead to tears and regret. I'm happy with the performance of the W 3.5cm F2.5 lens and I can't wait to try it in colour.  Camera: Nikon SP Rangefinder, Nikkor S Mount W 35 F2.5 lens.  Film: ORWO UN 54, D76 1+1....
