Late Winter in Caledon Ontario

Image
Rollei RPX 400 is a film I don't shoot much in 120. Yes it sounds meta shooting it through a Rolleiflex but oh wow, what a combination with Zeiss Planar glass. I went up mid March on a really warm day in the middle of March Break to pick up my skis from the Caledon Ski Club, the season was done for me and it was time to bring the gear home. It was an odd ski season but, then again everything has been odd for the past two years.  The day trip was a great antidote to the yo-yo weather, pivoting from snow to rain to way above average temperatures and I'm glad I took my Rolleiflex with me.  Camera: Rolleiflex 3.5 F Planar Twin Lens Reflex.  Film: Rollei RPX 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31

Winter in Caledon Ontario

Took me the whole ski season to shoot this roll in Caledon, on the way up and back from the ski hill. I've shot a ton of photos in Caledon over the years but I've feel I hit a wall. Part of it is Caledon to me is no longer the idyllic day trip rural escape it used to be, it is on the front line of suburban sprawl and open pit gravel quarry mining even though the vast majority of the regional municipality falls into the GTA Greenbelt.  I really should explore other parts of Caledon other than my usual haunts and get out of my rut.  Camera: Nikon FM2n, Nikkor Ais 50 F1.8 lens, Ais 28 F2.8 lens.  Film: Ilford HP5 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.
