My First Art Show

Good news, I am displaying eight of my photographic prints at CJ’s Café in Bronte for the month of September sharing wall space with another artist.

I invite you to attend the opening night social from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday September 4, 2007.

CJ’s Café in Bronte is located at 2416 Lakeshore Rd. West Oakville, Ontario. Tel: 905-465-0411. Travelling west from Toronto, exit the QEW at Bronte Rd and go South to Lakeshore Rd, then turn east. CJ’s is just a half block east on the South side of the street and parking is in back.

See you there

This is a Photo I have been aching to take for three years now. I stumbled across this old Toronto Transit Commission PCC streetcar in the field when I was coming back from Kitchener-Waterloo back in November 2004, I did not have a camera with me and it was a case of life getting in the way.

Two weeks ago I got around to drive up highway #6 and I had gear in this case a Pentax Spotmatic II and a Super Multicoated Takumar 135 f3.5 telephoto lens. I need a longer focal length and I think a return trip is in order with another camera system, My Olympus OM-1 with the Vivitar Series One telephoto zoom. I plan to make a print of this soon.

I got another early birthday present, my brother Alex is off to Florida for a much earned family vacation and with my birthday a week Friday, I got Nikkor lens. I ask for and I got a Nikkor H 28 f 3.5 lens. Not fast compared to the F2 but what I lose in speed I gain in picture quality. If you shoot with a pre-ai Nikon F, F2 or Nikkormat, get this lens and you won't be disappointed. I shot with my Nikon F with Classican 400 processed in HC110 Dilution B.
