Lomochrome 92 and The Grand Opening of Graination Photo Lab
Lomochrome 92 is an interesting film. Some ways the graininess is the same as Metropolis but the colours are different. The Lomo folks are trying to cash in on 1990s nostalgia, and being curious I bought a few rolls to try out. I walked throught the entertainment district and along Queen St. to Spadina which was an old haunt of mine back in the 1990s. I really do miss Edwards Books and Art, that was a cool book store that had a great photo book selection. They sadly disappeared when Indigo and Chapters became a thing. I'm just thankful The Rivoli and Horseshoe Tavern are still going strong. Getting back to Lomochrome 92, I shot it at 250 ISO through my Nikkormat FT3, by all rights I should have shot through either my FM2n, or F90X, might try that next time. Lomochrome 92, you're not getting pefection but getting a mood, a bit of nostalgia, unpredictable behaviour as the tone goes from slightly cool to cooler and this was shooting on a sunny day without a cloud in the sky....
