Photowalking in the East End

Image
Photowalking with The Toronto Film Shooters FB Group, we had a formal walk earlier this month at the Toronto Island, sadly not everyone could make it so I organized the second one. I love starting photo walks at the Rooster Coffee House on Broadview opposite Riverdale Park, one, you the best shot of the Toronto skyline across the street, and two, it's damn fine coffee. I have a rule of thumb start the photo walks with coffee and end with beer. The destination is the newly opened Black Lab Brewery in Leslieville. The journey took us through Chinatown East and Leslieville and you'll see this over the next few posts. Ok, one last thing, I set up a subscribe button so you can see my blog posts in your RSS feed. You can find near the top of the menu just below my profile. Camera: Nikon F3HP, Nikkor Ais 50 f1.4 lens. Film: Fomapan 400, Tmax Dev 1+4.

The odd thing while I love the Beaches even before my brother moved there 12 years ago, the Danforth and neighbouring Riverdale didn't provoke the same love. Does anyone else feel that way about a particular neighbourhood? My theory is this, while the Beaches are east end it does not feel cut off from the rest of the city due to its location by Lake Ontario, further north Riverdale and the Danforth are separated from mid...
