Walk Along College in Little Italy

Image
I've shot my share of Bergger Pancro 400 over the years, and I'm a sucker for it's tonality. That said, once I run out of the 35mm, I'm not shooting with it again. Pancro 400 in 120 however, now that's a different ballgame, it sings in my F series Rolleiflex, the 75mm F3.5 Zeiss Planar lens does the film justice. I'll have to track down another brick or two of Pancro 400 in 120 when I run out. It's not a common film on this side of the Atlantic.  The Rolleiflex came along for the ride with me a few weeks ago to renew my passport as it was expiring in July, the Service Canada location in Little Italy is a lot more civilized compared to other locations. All in all, took maybe a half hour on the outside and I was down the street having lunch at Cafe Diplomatico. The new passport showed up a week and a half later which blew my mind, that was fast.  Haven't shot much with TLR last year, all my Rollei's and Mamiya C220F were in storage. I plan to shoot sq...

Winter 2025 in my Neighbourhood.

Image
This has been a winter, sadly I haven't been on my skis once, and I'm going to take this season off, which is sad due to the huge dump of snow this past month or so, and it's been consistantly cold, amazing ski weather, and I'm on the injured roster, a sprained hip flexor. Can't ski but I can walk and walking has been good to loosen things up. I'm going to hit the gym again soon to start to rebuild strengh.  I walked around my neighbourhood with my black Rollei 35S, and a roll of Bergger Pancro 400 and it helped me loosen up the problematic left hip flexor. Walking around was good, sitting for long periods of time bad, and twisting the wrong way even worse. Throw in multiple dumps of snow, winter photography in North Toronto changes everything.  There are days I wonder if the Rollei 35 is the perfect group photo walk camera. It's super light, the optics, be it Tessar, Xenar or Sonnar are amazing, and you have any focal length as long as it's 40mm, which...

Canon 7S back from Lens Medic YYC

Image
Got my Canon 7s and 7sZ back from Lensmedic YYC after a long overdue CLA on both bodies so I took one of them out for wander around the neighbourhood back in early December. I popped a roll of Pancro 400 and a 35 F2 lens on the camera (save for one shot) and wandered the neighbourhood. Gary does amazing work, that is all   Canon 7S, Canon LTM 35 F2 and 100 F3.5 Lenses.  Film: Bergger Pancro 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.
