Walk Up Roncesvalles, and, the Beginning of the Grey Season

Image
Love Roncesvalles Village, this was one of the neighbourhoods in Toronto, it has a vibrant main street vibe filled with indie retailers and has been relatively untouched by the relentless highrise redevelopment push other parts of town have been facing. I wanted to buy a couple of bags of Blackbird Roast from Cherry Bomb coffee and make my up to meeat Jo-Anne after her hairdresser appointment.  I rolled with one camera and one lens, the Nikon F90X and Nikon AF-D 35 F2 lens along with Fuji Superia 400 that expired two years ago but still holding up nicely. It was early December and we didn't get any snow until Boxing Day (another story altogether), however the grey skies started settling in.  Camera: Nikon F90X, Nikon AF-D 35 F2 lens.  Film: Fuji Superia 400.

Day Trip To Niagara on the Lake, July 2025

The Nikon F100 is brilliant for colour photography, put it on matrix metering put a fast almost wide lens like the Nikon AF-D 35 F2 and you create a very powerful point and shoot cmaera. I used Lomochrome 92 as the film of choice for this trip, I wanted something timeless harkening back to summer's past.  Niagara on the Lake itself is a very photogenic town. Jo-Anne and I have only daytripped down together. I would love to stay down overnight or even the weekend. While it was easy to drive down from Oakville, Midtown Toronto is another matter on the return trip.  Camera: Nikon F100, Nikon AF-D 35 F2 lens.  Film: Lomography Lomochrome 92 400 colour film.
