December 30 Photo Walk from Chinatown To College St.

Image
We did a second photo walk with the Toronto Film Shooters on December 30 replacing the New Year's Day walk and we attracted a bunch of new people to the group. The Toronto Film Shooters Facebook Group has over 60 members and we're one of four groups I'm aware of on socials who meet up and wander. We have walk regulars and we also cross promote our events  with Toronto Photo Walks.   Cinestill 400D was the perfect film for walking through Chinatown and Kensington Market, I shot it through a recently acquired black Nikon FM2n from the 1980s with the honeychomb titanium shutter. You really can't go wrong with Nikon FM2(n)'s, they just keep on going. I used the 40 F2 Ultron lens along with the Nikkor AIS 28 F2.8 lens on this walk. I don't know why I pack the telephoto lens but you just never know when you will need one.  Camera: Nikon FM2n, 40 f2 Voigtlander Ultron SL II Lens, Nikkor AIS 28 F2.8 lens.  Film: Cinestill 400D

End of the Year Walk Around the Neighbourhood.

Spending the back half of the Christmas Holidays and New Year's Day at Jo-Anne I got a chance to really acclimatize to midtown and North Toronto over the course of five days. I usually spend every other weekend at Jo-Anne's. This feels a lot more like home than Oakville as time goes on, I'm going to be glad when the year of chaos ends.  It's been an odd winter, probably the greyest one so far and warmer than usual despite the week and a half of super cold weather that wasn't all that super cold compared to previous years here in the Greater Toronto/Golden Horseshoe region.  Camera: Rollei 35, 40 F3.5 Zeiss Tessar Lens.  Film: Rollei RPX 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.
