Return to Elora Part Two

Image
I haven't shot with Ilford HP5 400 in a while, and I forgot how nice it can be near box speed ( I usually expose around 320 ISO to help out the shadow detail a wee bit). Paired with HC110 or Ilfotec HC at 1+31 it makes for quick developing and the results speak for themselves. HP5 is a great choice because of its super wide exposure latitude which is a must this Summer due to the changeable weather.  Camera: Canon F-1n, FD 50 f1.4 SCC Lens.  Film: Ilford HP5 400, HC110 B.

Bronte, on the West Side of Bronte Harbour

Image
I don't go to Bronte Harbour in the west end of Oakville all that often to shoot since the pandemic began. It has a very different mood in the off season, as in, no one is there, particularly in a pandemic. One thing this shoot re-enforced in my mind, the 35 F2 and the 105 F2.5 lenses are perfect for travel. This has become the pair of lenses I reach for when I go out.  Camera: Nikkormat FTn, Nikkor O 35 F2 lens, Nikkor P 105 F2.5 lens.  Film: Ultrafine Extreme 400, HC110 B.

Wandering West of 16 Mile Creek

Image
I don't photograph Kerr St. all that often I walked over via Cornwall Ave./Speers Road. and walked down shooting the east side of the street. Kerr St. itself was quiet. Everything is shutdown save for curbside pick up and take out. The walk took me down to Lakeshore Road and turned East towards home.  Camera: Nikkormat FT3, Nikkor Ai 50 f2 lens, Ai 28 f2.8 lens.  Film: Ultrafine Extreme 400, HC110 B.

Hiking, the Tonic For a Pandemic Part Two

Image
I've posted about Silver Creek Conservation Area earlier, I never really explored east of Fallbank Road before, I took a side trail before hooking up with the Bruce Trail and wandered east to 10th Line and doubled back. Some parts of the Bruce Trail are easy peasy, others, I almost want to scare people who want to come along because I don't want them getting in over their heads in terms of hike length and terrain difficulty.  Being in the early stages of fall I'm concerned that recess is coming to an end with the pandemic, I hope we can still go hiking on the trails because well, it's outdoors, and a hell of a lot safer than being in a gym. I'm still surprised by the number of hidden gems at the north end of Halton Region.  Camera: Olympus OM-2n, Zuiko lenses.  Film: Ultrafine Extreme 400, HC110 B.
