Beaches in Medium Format Black and White Part One

Image
I shot a ton of black and white film while in the Beaches, and I'm not done processing and you will just have to stay tuned. Fompan 400 is a nice film but I had a hell of a time with last three frames with some emulsion damage, where it came from, I don't know. Usually I don't have a problem with this situation, nothing cloning can't fix. That said, it was worth the trouble to fix in Lightroom and some of these will wind up in an upcoming 'zine issue.  Camera: Rolleifles 3.5 F Planar TLR  Film: Fomapan 400, HC110 B.

Hiking around the Caledon Ski Club

Image
I dropped off the annual dues to the Caledon Ski Club and had an opportunity to hike the grounds in the off season which compared to Forks of the Credit Provincial Park on a Saturday, almost deserted. The EOS-1n, was my camera of choice this weekend with the Sigma 50 f1.4 lens. If I had the old kit lens form my Canon Rebel XS lying about somewhere, it wouldn't last long on a pro body due to the light construction.  Again I really want a Nikon F5, say it enough one might appear with some top shelf AF-D Nikkor glass.  Hiking The Caledon Ski Club was something I never really done off season and I quite enjoyed it because Forks of the Credit Provincial Park was a zoo. It felt weird a little with no snow on the ground but you get an idea the amount of work that goes into the hill off season. The last time I was up was on Sunday afternoon March 15 or as I call it the last day of normal to empty out the family locker in the West Lodge, that feels like a lifetime ago. I have no idea w...

A Day in the Country with my Canon P Part Two

I need to get out into the country more often before there's another lockdown.  Camera: Canon P, Canon 50 f1.8 LTM lens.  Film: Kodak Pro Image 100.

A Day in the Country with my Canon P Part One

Image
I went up to Caledon for the morning to pay my annual dues at the Caledon Ski Club and it was a great excuse to get out and do some shooting. i packed my Cnaon P rangefinder and my last roll of Kodak Pro Image 100.  This was a great combo, one camera, one lens and one roll of film. I like the Canon P, pity Canon rangefinders are starting to creep up in price because a Canon 7 would be nice to add to the collection/fleet.  Camera: Canon P, Canon 50 F1.8 LTM lens.  Film: Kodak Pro Image 100.
