Scotsdale Farm in the Fall

Image
Been ages since I was last up at Scotsdale Farm. I needed a break from packing the house up. To shake things up, I went medium format with my Mamiya C220F on my hike, and shot one roll of colour, and another black and white. I would have shot both rolls of Lomo 400, but, I forgot the pack the second roll hence the Rollei RPX 400.  Hiking with a C220F is a pretty good workout and would do it again.  Camera: Mamiya C220F Twin lens Reflex Camera, Mamiya Sekor Lenses.  Film: L,omo 400 C-41. Rollei RPX 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.

Fall Hike up at Scotsdale Farm

Image
A throwback to early November on a hike up at Scotsdale Farm. I didn't hike much this year due to life getting the way. I took up my Nikon F4S and ran the classic United Press International lens combo, the Nikkor 35 F2 and 105 F2.5 lenses, both AIS F mounts. The film of choice was Ilford HP5 rated at 320 ISO to grab that shadow detail and handle the light that's getting low in the sky. I need a walk in the woods and hopefully in the new year I can take Jo-Anne here in the spring and into Silvercreek Conservation Area.  Note I'm using Ilfotec HC, I finished off my bottle of new formula HC110, I'm now all Ilford chemistry save from some old formula Kodak D76 packets I will be working through. Ilfotec HC is just like HC110 only the time for Ilford HP5 is a minute 30 seconds longer compared to HC110 B, otherwise the same stuff, almost.  Camera: Nikon F4S, Nikkor Ais 35 F2 lens.  Film: Ilford HP5 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.  ...

Hike up at Limehouse Conservation Area with Jo-Anne

Image
I took Jo-Anne up to one of my happy places, Limehouse Conservation Area a few weeks ago for a hike, she forgot her camera so I loaned her one of my Canon FTb's. I ran with a Nikon F90X with my 28-105 zoom lens. which was perfect for the hike and shot with Kodak Portra 400. With this walk in the woods changed my mind with workflow and with Portra 400, I finally cracked the scanning code, more on that later.  Jo-Anne loved Limehouse, since we were out on the weekend, the trail was surprisingly busy for mid November. What saddened me was due to the number of idiots during the pandemic, the Credit River Conservation Authority had to "bubble wrap" some parts of the conservation area because of local idiots looking for that shot for Instagram or backdrop for their TikTok Video. That's the reason why the arch part of sawmill ruins is now wrapped up in construction fencing. Also, there were rope boundries which weren't there back in the spring. Thanks idiots, this is wh...
