I love Cinestill 400D, from where I'm sitting I find this film much easier to work with than Portra 400,  Unlike 50D which is Vision 50D motion picture stock with the remjet scraped off so you don't have to worry about it, 400D is a native C-41 process colour negative film with my guess a lot of Vision 250D technology baked into the emulsion if that makes sense.  Through Zuiko lenses, 400D shines, it looks great when shot through Nikkor glass but Zuiko, I hardly have to tinker in Lightroom other than tame some of the green channel a bit, but, I have to do that with Portra 400 as well. The Olympus OM-4Ti and Zuiko lens system is going to be used a lot with 400D in the  future for me.  Camera: Olympus OM-4Ti, Zuiko MC lenses.  Film: Cinestill 400D.

University of Toronto is a special place for me and I'm very fortunate to my Digital Strategy and Communications Management Certificate there. A quarter century ago I did my bachelors degree here too so it was coming home sort of, I was at what is now University of Toronto Mississauga campus, then Erindale College. A nice place and I had great time during my undergrad years but it lacks the history of the St. George Campus. The centre piece is University College which begs to be photographed, especially the inner courtyard which is an oasis of tranquility in the middle of a downtown campus. Camera: Canon F-1N with FD 28 f2.8 and 50 f1.4 lens. Film: Ilford HP5 400, HC110 B. Location University of Toronto, St. George Campus, Toronto On.

I am currently taking a certificate at University of Toronto in Digital Strategy and Communications Management , it's a great little program for communications and marketing professionals looking to learn how to use social media on a strategic level for enterprise. It's fun I can't recommend it enough. I had this grand plan to do some more urban shooting over the second course on the way to class, well best laid plans, at -40c with the windchill, spending time outside for any length of time, not fun. Close to the end of the second course I did get out before class and did some shooting on the walk up from Union Station. With the weather getting a lot nicer I plan to take a camera with me and shoot along the way up to class. This will also be my last roll of Kodak Tri-X for a little while, it's a great film but I find Ilford HP5 400 nicer to scan and I like how it looks when processed with HC110. Camera: Nikon F Photomic FTN, Nikkor S 50 f1.4 lens. Film: Kodak Tr...
