Wandering Leaside and a Wee Bit in Mount Pleasant Village East.

I went for a wander last week, haven't been to the gym since before Christmas and skiing has been off the table and fear this ski season will be a write off for me. Like many this past holiday season came down with a nasty cold/flu bug, and very early in the new year coughed so hard I sprained my left psoas muscle (hip flexor). The lower back pain is random and while I'm doing self directed physio, it will be a two month slog. Thing is, sitting for long periods of time makes things worse, so I had to be mobile.  I went out with one of my Olympus OM-1md's and the 35-70 F3.6 zoom lens. Olympus has a great reputation for prime lenses, no talks much about the zooms. I love the Zuiko MC 35-70 F3.5 zoom lens and it's versatilty.  It's perfect for travel and photo walks when you want to reduce the number of lenses to carry.  Camera: Olympus OM-1md, Zuiko MC 35-70 F3.6 Zoom Lens.  Film: Kodak Tri-X 400, Ilfotec HC 1+31.  ...

The January TFS Walk, Keepin' It in the Hood.

My luck with photo walk weather hit a wall this time around. The January thaw occoured and instead of snow, we got light rain, sorta, kinda mixed with snow. It was a smaller group this month thank you to both the awful weather, and Line 1 being closed from St. Clair Station northward for track work. That said awful weather gets you some decent photos.  I wound up rolling with just the Nine Element 28 F2.8 lens from Light Lens Labs on my Leica M6. I wanted a combination that can handle the more gloomy light. I also used Rollei RPX 400 at box speed, hindsight I should have pushed a stop. All in all, it was a good walk.  Camera: Leica M6 Classic, Light Lens Lab Nine Element 28 f2.8 lens.  Film: Rollei RPX 400, Rollei Supergrain Developer 1+15.
