The Tenth Anniversary Classic Camera Revival Photo Walk
This was supposed to be the fifth anniversary photo walk for the Classic Camera Revival but Covid had other ideas, five years later it became the 10th anniversary of the revolution. The plan was to visit different east end breweries, the route varied from the initial plan in 2020, This Summer's scorching weather modified the route even further. It was great to connect with the CCR fans and geek out on photography. We started at the Great Lakes Brewery Tap Room on Lower Jarvis and ended at Eastbound Brewing in Riverside. We did have plans to go further but the weather was so hot (45 degrees Celsius), our dear leader Alex Luykx tapped out, and offered that I continue on until Godspeed Brewery. I called it a walk and a bunch of us after Eastbound, hopped the 504 street car up Broadview to the Danforth for Gelato at Dolce just east of Chester (Gelato so good, you will want to move to Riverdale/Playter Estates).
I chose the Nikon FM3a with the Voigtlander 40 F2 Ultron lens, because I wanted compact, reliable and sharp glass. What I can't stop thinking about is how nice Lomo 100 C-41 is as a colour film. Based on an older Kodak 100 ISO colour film, it delivered just the right amount of punch without being over the top like Ektar 100. I used the Pro Image 100 setting Silverfast while scanning to get the most out of this roll. No clue if Lomo 100 and Kodak Pro Image 100 are the same film, can't go wrong with either considering what Kodak Alaris is asking for with Ektar 100 and Portra 160 MSRP's, that's gotten a bit silly from where I'm sitting. Conclusion, roll with Pro Image 100 or Lomo 100, you can't go wrong with either.
Camera: Nikon FM3a, Voigtlander 40 F2 Ultron SL II Lens.
