I hardly do portraits, not that I don't like doing them but I never quite have the opportunity. It's a skill I want to improve and you only do so actually doing. This is a picture of my friend Myna Wallin who is a celebrated poet in Toronto. I took her photo outside the Bedford Academy around 7:40 p.m. with a Nikon F with a 50 f.2 lens. In retrospect I should have used my 105 telephoto but that is splitting hairs. I used Agfa APX 400 film and there was a UV filter on. I want to get better at this, but that will happen over time.
