  Ok, so I've given the Canon FD 35 F2 lens a serious workout in the Beaches, lets see what Nikon has up their sleeve with the Nikkor O 35 F2. An eight element in six grouping design, the O 35 F2 was a very solid slightly wider than normal by today's standard lens that was very sharp and quite versatile for street, landscape, travel and event photography. The optical design didn't really change through to the Ais Nikkor  version, the lens coatings and housing construction changed drastically throughout the product life. Running with my Nikon F2SB, a rather rare beast within the F2 product family I went out and shot around my favourite Toronto neighbourhood (yes, I want to move here at some point).  As the selection below shows I got beautiful results, including a portrait of my friend Art. The Nikkor O 35 F2 I own has the single coating.  I also own the the Ais version with the more updated lens coatings and it just plain delivers.  Instead of using Ilford Delta...

 Harbourfront was pretty much dead, granted the thunderstorm that was forecast for late in the afternoon showed up mid Morning and we had to duck into Water Park Place. Once the storm front cleared we continued on our trek along Harbourfront. The tourist boats were mothballed because even though restrictions are looser, not a lot of people want to get on a crowded tourist boat. One thing I want to do is get over to Toronto Island before things really wind down. We'll see, I have to research Ferry capacities and all that fun stuff.  The hidden gem is the Toronto Railway Museum, granted it's a lot smaller than Exporail in Delson Quebec just south of Montreal and sadly landlocked with no access spur to the Toronto Terminal Railway corrdior, an oversight on those who were planning the museum at the time.  Camera: Nikon F2AS, Nikkor Ais 35 2 lens.  Film: Ilford HP5 400, HC110 B. 

The first downtown photowalk since the pandemic began. Riding in on the GO Train was uneventful and getting through Uniion Station was a breeze. The downtown core is still quiet and I have a quiet thought this will be the case for a long time to come. I met up with my friends from the mid week photowalk group and wandered down to Harbourfront.  We thought the day was going to be ok weatherwise but the forecasters goofed and we got the rain and thunderstorms and had to duck into Waterpark Place while the storm rolled through.
