A Wander Down Yonge St. From Summerhill to Yorkville.

Before I left Oakville I made one last stop to Burlington Camera, to scratch that camera GAS itch and walked out with a pristine, Nikkor Ai 35 F1.4 lens. I miss Burlington Camera, my bank account doesn't. The Ai 35 F1.4 was beloved by photo journalists as it was a super fast lens in their favourite focal length and it got them results. That said, is it a perfect Lens? I think its more a character lens and if you're an enthusiast, owning one gives you bragging rights at photo meet ups but it's not perfect. The main problem as you can figure out in a few photos below is barrel distorion, and it's heavy. I'm glad I got it, and it does deliver a look, but if you're looking something that's almost as fast but better optically and easier on the wallet, the 35 F2 is a can't go wrong lens regardless of iteration.

Film wise I ran with Eastman Double X which as a daylight speed of 200 ISO, my usual developer was D76/ID-11 but being a liquid concentrate developer kinda guy now, I tried out Rollei Supergrain Developer at 1+15 dillution, it delivered pretty decent results.

Camera: Nikon F2AS, Nikkor AI 35 F1.4 lens.

Film: Eastman Kodak XX, Rollei Supergrain 1+15.
