A Warm July Downtown

Shot over the course of a few trips to Graination Lab, I was using my Nikon SP rangefinder to photograph up Spadina and later, along Queen St. From University, westward.

This time out, instead of using a handheld meter, I rolled with one of my Doomo clip on light meters, and it did the job nicely. Eastman Double X helps courtesy the wide latitude,  Since Kodak clamped down on the re-spooling scene, sources of Double X are getting thinner on the ground. Flic Film and Cinestill sell Double X and highly recommend both businesses.

Eastman Double X is a contrasty film and there's some grain in Ilfotec HC 1+49 but I like that bit of grit for the subject matter.
