Holiday Season Photo Walk in the Beaches with Cinestill 800T
The Grey Season hit hard over the Christmas holidays, we got a snowstorm on Boxing Day and a few days later when the Toronto Film Shooters Photowalk, it was even more gloomy. The weather forecast called for rain which thankfully held off until we arrived at The Stone Lion for lunch in the Beaches.
I rolled with colour film specfically Cinestill 800T, which I haven't shot with in a long time, and it was for long exposure night photography in Oakville through my Mamyia C220F. A Tungstan balanced fast colour film worked well a grim day. I mean the skies were buffed and polished concrete. I should try Kodak Vision 3 500T which is the motion picture stock base that Cinestill 800T is based on but still has the REM Jet layer on, though might change because Eastman Kodak introduced REM Jet layer less motion picture stock, who knows how it will play out.
Anyway sliced, I loved the results from Cinestill 800T. Leica R mount lenses handle this film really well. Loved the results from the 135 F2.8 Tele Elmarit.
Camera: Leicaflex SL, 2 Cam R Mount Lenses.
Film: Cinestill 800T, processed by Graination Labs.
