Toronto Film Shooters January 2026 Photo Walk Part One
It was a cold January, I think the daytime high on the photowalk was -15c. Not warm, I settled on a route done pre pandemic starting at Dineen Coffee at the corner of Yonge St. and Temperance downtown in the financial district and make our way north on the "Longest Street in the World" eventually ending at the Rebel House for lunch, only this time there will be a pit stop halfway through at the Bulldog Coffee Shop to thaw out.
I chose the Nikon F5, the batteries were still great and considering the number of Shopper's Drug Marts and Rexalls on route, if the camera did die, getting replacement AA batteries would be easy peasy. Since we were dealing with a mostly sunny day, I ran with Ilford HP5 400 and process it in 510 Pyro to tame the highlights a bit. There was not one bad frame on this roll.
Camera: Nikon F5, Nikon AF-D 35-70 F2.8 Zoom Lens.
Film: Ilford HP5 400, 510 Pyro 1+100.
