Skiing is my winter sport and I have not been doing enough of it due to school, work and uncooperative weather. Not a good combination, but what can you do? Get out on the good days, this was one of them. I took up my OM-1 on a whim and used a Yellow filter on most of the shots and the film used was Ilford Fp4 125 asa.

As threatened, a new and improved Bronte Photo essay taken with an Olympus OM-1 and Ilford FP4 125 film on a really cold day like -11 before the windchill is factored in. These buildings will be razed come spring time, I used to bike down here for ice cream cones when I was a teen and early twenties. Architecturally the buildings are nothing special but having personal landmarks wiped out with more regularlity is disconcerting. In Ontario there are a lot of buildings worthy of histroical designation that are just being torn down by developers because of the value of the land. What replaces the architectural treasures is downright criminal in architectural mediocraty. This is a subject for a further photo eassy the neighbouhood of Forest Hill in Toronto is having this problem losing their Arts and Crafts mansions for something a lot more tacky. Please stay tuned for further images.

A single photo of my nephew Marcus. This was taken at Christmas dinner with my Contax IIIa with 400 asa Fuji Superia with available light. Marcus moves pretty fast so getting photos are becoming a challenge for his uncle (me).

A colour photo session on a very unusally warm Saturday January . I was using my ContaxIIIa with a Carl Zeiss 50/2 Sonnar with Fuji asa 100 Superia film. This has to be one of the few things outside of my PR program that went right that weekend. I was supposed to meet up with someone for a lunch date, she pulled out at the last minute and has since disappeared. I will not get into the details, needless to say I was disapointed as I was looking forward to it. Why? who knows, I know I won't be getting the whole story.

What an odd winter this as been, it was colder in December than in January. I took this a week before Christmas and it was about I think -15c with the windchill. I took these photos in Yorkville with a Kiev III with a Jupiter 8 lens. FSU cameras can take the cold. Shortly I will contrast with some January Photos taken last weekend when on Saturday it was +10c. Please stay tuned.

Here is the first roll of film I ran through my most recent equipment aquisition a Nikon F2, I only had a Nikkor Auto S 50/1.4 lens on it. I wish I had my 35 wideangle lens for some of the shots, oh well I was traveling light last Saturday. Secondly there was a request from the studio audience from Kevin Tighe of Rona lansing in Oakville, a co worker of mine who wanted to see some of my colour work. As requested here it is, I used Kodak ProFoto Asa 100 colour film I purchased off a friend who got it from Eastern Europe. This emulsion is not available in the Americas, interesting to work with and I have 4 more rolls. Not quite as user friendly as Fuji Colour film which I consider my favourite. So enjoy the photos which were taken down by Queen St. and the DVP save for the top shot which was taken from the West End, guess where? Bill

Short post with two photos leftover from a previous session. Taken with an Olympus OM-1 with Kodak Tri-X black and white film just after Christmas and New Years.

Took these shots in and around the Caledon Ski Club on Boxing Day as I went up to collect my skis to be tuned. I should have gone skiing then as the hill these days looks more like Late March than mid winter. Actually, what happened to winter? I used my Olympus OM-1 with Kodak Tri-x. Don't ask me how the farm field looks like it got the seipia treatment, happy accident. Skiing is my winter sport and this year I am missing it bad due to all the mild weather we have been getting. So much for the colder than average winter, that should jinx us into a cold snap.

All taken before Chirstmas, with a Nikon F mostly with the 50/f1.4 Nikkor and the Nikkor-O 35/f2 lens with Fuji Acros Neopan Black and White film

Another one from the odds and ends file: Its easy getting bored at a stoplight on Yonge St. Taken with a Contax IIIa, Jupiter 8 (50/ f2) Lens and HP5 film from Ilford.

Winter got you down, well here is a quick trip back to Summer. This one is from the files that got overlooked. This was the only decent shot on the roll, I like this one. Taken with a Nikon F and Ilford Delta 100 around the end of July 2005

This is a short post as I have half a roll full of Halloween pictures from work and I really don't want to upload co-workers without their blessing. The other half was taken around Chirstmas on really cold day with a Kiev III with a Jupiter 12 35 wideangle lens on. I especially like the shot with the drydocked Search and Rescue Boat near TOWARF.
