Yonge St. Midtown.
Who said Nortth of Bloor St. was boring? Yonge St. between Eglington and Davisville is an ineteresting stretch of street thats is evolving rapidly beyond recognition. Aside from the endless Metrolinx Cross Town LRT construction, the relentless redevelopment of streetscapes from mostly low rise buildings into condos is never ending. Even Canada Square where the TVO studios and Canadian Tire head office are located are going to be torn down and replaced with, you guessed it, a mixed use development with condos. I'm not against condo development, but from first hand experience, even during the now times, subway ridership is pretty busy.
The sad thing is, most of the low rise buildings will be eventually replaced but the neighbourhood charm will be lost forever.
Oh, you noticed something, I shot these on my latest fleet addition, the Nikon F3/T, they came in two flavours, champagne which was only made for a few short years in the 1980s when I think Duran Duran's Hungry Like the Wolf was on the charts which my brother Alex owns an example and in black, which mine was made later, into the early 1990s I think. Aside from the T on the front at first glance you can't tell the differnce between a the F3/T and a regular F3HP. The differences are subtle with the paint finish, the titanium models are not as smooth.
Camera: Nikon F3/T, Nikkor Ais lenses.
Film: Ilford HP5 400, HC110 B.
