More Thoughts on the the FDn 35-105 F3.5 Zoom Lens.

As mentioned in my previous post, I really wonder why the 35-105 F3.5 Zoom lens isn't part of the Canon L Series catalogue when that range of high end glass was introduced in the 1980s. Shooting black and white film I got super crisp negativs that would be a joy to print in the darkroom. One observation, in some situations I found this lens hard to focu.  I'm chalking it up to user expereience or in this case, inexperience with this particular lens. Locally here in Southern Ontario,  the 35-105 F3.5 zoom can be had from $125 to $140 CAD. Lens hood sold seperately, in this case the BW-72B. As with most OEM Canon lens hoods the more oddball ones can be hard to find and cost a fortune. I fortunately had a generic metal screw in wide angle hood which performed perfectly. I can't recommend finding a lens hood enough, as with all zooms from the 1980s you can get lens flare if you shoot just the wrong way.
