No Light Pollution 2022 (The Annual Long Weekend Trip North)
I've been going up to Billie Bear Resort in the North end of Lake of Bays Township in Muskoka for nine years now and it's the first time Jo-Anne came up too. We got blessed with nothing but sunshine, perfect fall temperatures, the fall colours were on point and a chance to see the Milky Way.
The fun began getting to Jo-Anne's place, which took an hour and a half from Oakville, getting out of the city was oddly enough much easier. I felt trip truly starts when we hit Beaverton for a late breakfast a Shortiss Cafe, I can't recommend them enough the coffee was great and the baked goods were yummy.
We made great time up Highway 35 and had lunch in Minden at the Boshkung Brewery and wandered around a bit for a break, the Rockcliffe Tavern still stands for now. Again driving up 35 just gives you a ton of photographic opportunites you can't get on 400/11.
