A short update with colour. I took the street shot at Lakeshore and Navy in Oakville around 7 am. The rest of the photos were taken in the beaches. I used an Olympus OM-4 and Fuji Superia 100 film and a polariser on the lens.

A big post here, I used my Leica M3 with a Canon 50 f1.4 with a polariser lens on it for all the photos. The film was Adox 100 developed in HC110, dilution H off Digital Truth. I have been having challenges with my collapsable 50 mm Summicron, great lens but prone to flare on bright sunny days, It looks like I am using my Canon lens more often and the Leica lens is just for overcast days. This was from a Friday afternoon trip to the Beach in Toronto it was partly cloudy so I was getting the meter out often.
I was playing with my new to me Olympus OM-4 and some film I picked up at the APUG Conference from JandC Photo. It's called Adox 100 formerly Efke, the film is made in Croatia and has a high silver content, the way they used to make film. I used HC110 developer with an unnoffical dilution designated H. It is half strength of dilution B for those interested in knowing and I timed it for 11 minutes. I am really growing to love this film, it has a really nice snap to it. It also helps to have an orange or yellow filter on the lens. Adox/Efke is available I think as slow as asa 25 and only through JandC Photo out of Kansas.
I was at the Tightrope Book launch last night up in the Annex in Toronto. My friend Myna was having her book of poetry launched and I was there to document the event. The last photo is Honest Ed's, an institution at Bloor and Bathurst Streets. I used my Olympus OM-4 with a 70-150 Telephoto zoom lens, a 35mm wideangle on the Honest Eds shot and Ilford Delta 3200 developed in HC110 in dilution A at 8 minutes.
Well, I did it! This is the results of my first roll of film I developed myself. I shot the photos with a Pentax Spotmatic F and Ilford Delta 100 film. I used a Kodak HC110 developer which for those weaned in the digital age is a liquid concentrate. The process sounds complex but in fact is quite easy if you follow the steps: delevoper, stop, fix, rinse, wash and dry.
I was at a Toronto Photography Meetup Group (TPMG.ca) event last weekend, it was a photo scavanger hunt on the TTC. Against better judgement I took my Leica M3 (show off) and I tried out a new film, Efke (Adox)asa 100 black and white. This is some of the highlights. I used no flash underground just really steady hands as I took the shutter speed down to 1/10 of a second. Next time I am using a faster film and an SLR for these sort of events. This film has a high contrast, I like it a lot and I have the instructions on how to develop it as well. I have 99% of the gear to do my own developing, I will have a learning curve to conquer.
I hardly do portraits, not that I don't like doing them but I never quite have the opportunity. It's a skill I want to improve and you only do so actually doing. This is a picture of my friend Myna Wallin who is a celebrated poet in Toronto. I took her photo outside the Bedford Academy around 7:40 p.m. with a Nikon F with a 50 f.2 lens. In retrospect I should have used my 105 telephoto but that is splitting hairs. I used Agfa APX 400 film and there was a UV filter on. I want to get better at this, but that will happen over time.
KC and the Moonshine Band played the Cadillac Lounge, I loved shooting this venue, I relied more on my 35mm wide angle Jupiter12 and 50 f2 Jupiter 8 lenses. Of course I was using my Kiev III with Ilford Delta 3200 film. Down the street at the Gladstone was a Toronto Photoblogger event and Michael Sixeirio thought I was hard core for using an FSU Rangefinder camera. He was right, the viewfinder in the dark was a bit of a challenge. Next club event I am going to try my Nikon F2 with a 50 f1.4 and 35 f2 lenses.

I took this little montage of photos on a trip into the city for an information interview with a PR agency and lunch time seminar with the Toronto branch of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). I used my Canon Canonet QL17 GIII and some Ilford Delta 400. This is part one as I took some photos on this roll that would not fit the mood and will be posted later.
