Tales from Just Before the Second Lockdown.

By the time you read this Ontario is back in Lockdown 2.0 which isn't suprrising, Covid 19 case counts have been going through the roof and well, you knew this was going to happen, we all did. On top of that, ski season has been at best postponed which means the winter photography will be restricted to Halton Region, that's how life goes, so let's just get on with things.

I've switched to shooting with my Nikkormats for the next little while because they just don't fail in the cold weather. Their meters however do, it is the one achilles heal to a great camera and the ring resistor is the culprit, either they wear out or oxidize, also the cds cells have a lifespan. There's a work around, a hand held meter or more recentlly a clip on meter from Reveni Labs I got as a Christmas present. I have not shot with it yet so you will have to stay tuned for a report on the clip on meter's performance.
